This annually updated book once again covers all locomotives registered and / or seen on the mainline in Germany and grows every year as the biggest European locomotive builders (Siemens & Alstom) build and register most of their locomotives in Germany, irrespective of which country they operate in. So there are now more than 9,800 locomotives listed in the book (including 1,300 locomotives registered outside, but often seen inside Germany). Since the last book was published there have also been well over 2,000 updates to operator, depot and status.
